AI outbound callingEvery lead on the list gets a call — today, not next month.

Hand a list to an AI voice agent and it calls in parallel: qualifying, answering questions, booking meetings, confirming appointments and running surveys in a natural voice. The leads who are ready for a person go straight to your reps, with the context already on screen.

Can AI make outbound sales calls?

Yes. AI outbound calling uses an AI voice agent to phone a list, hold a two-way conversation, and qualify, book or remind each contact instead of a rep. On TalkerIQ the agent calls many contacts at once inside your calling windows, logs every outcome to your CRM and warm-transfers interested leads to a person.

Sound familiar?

We have thousands of leads we paid for and nobody has called. By the time we get to them, they've forgotten us.

The bottleneck in outbound is rarely the leads. It's hours in the day — and the most repetitive calls take up most of them.

  • New leads wait hours for a first call

A form fill at 7 PM gets a call the next afternoon, if it's lucky. By then they've talked to someone else.

  • Your best reps make your worst calls

Reminders, confirmations, "are you still interested?" — necessary, repetitive, and expensive in rep time.

  • Old lists never get worked

Aged leads, lapsed customers and no-shows sit in the CRM because there's never time to call them all.

  • No idea what happened on the calls

Outsourced or manual campaigns come back as a spreadsheet of "called", with no recordings or reasons.

How it works

From a CSV to booked meetings: how does an AI outbound calling campaign work?

What happens when you launch an AI campaign on TalkerIQ — and who handles each step.

  1. Create the campaign

Name it, upload your list (CSV with phone numbers, names and custom variables) and choose a goal: lead qualification, appointment booking, reminder or survey.

    Your team
  2. Map your fields

Match columns like name, phone and email, and add custom variables so every call sounds personal. Test the mapping on sample rows.

    Your team
  3. Set the rules

Pick the AI agent, start date and time, calling windows by time zone, retry attempts and call-length limits.

    Your team
  4. AI makes the calls

The agent calls in parallel, holds a natural conversation, answers questions and books, confirms or qualifies.

    AI agent
  5. Hot leads reach a rep

Interested leads are warm-transferred or booked onto a rep's calendar; every call is recorded, summarised and synced to your CRM.

    AI + your team

Scale

Call the whole list at once — not one rep at a time.

Where a power dialer gives one rep one line, AI agents can hold many conversations simultaneously, so a list that would take your team weeks is worked in hours — inside the calling windows you set for each time zone.

  • Thousands of simultaneous calls, with queues managed for you
  • Time-zone scheduling for the US, Canada, UK, India and more
  • Local presence caller ID from your own numbers

Hand off

AI qualifies. Your reps close.

When a lead is ready for a person, the AI agent warm-transfers the call to the right rep — passing the name, need, timeline and anything else it learned — or books a meeting straight onto the rep's calendar. Your team only spends time on people who want to talk.

  • Warm transfer to a rep or ring group, with a context card
  • Appointment booking into Google Calendar
  • Custom voices and personas per campaign type

Follow up

No answer isn't the end of the campaign.

Design what happens after each outcome on the call and SMS cadence builder — a text after a missed call, a retry the next evening, a different path for anyone who replies — or describe it to the AI campaign builder, Spark, and let it build the flow. Smart call retries then choose the best time and channel for each lead.

  • Call + SMS sequences that branch on answered, voicemail, no answer, replied, opted out
  • Spark copilot drafts the cadence from plain English
  • AI smart retries within your attempt limits and calling hours

Measure

Watch it work while it's running.

Launch with one click and follow live call progress: calls made, connected, appointments booked and leads qualified, with a recording, transcript and AI call summary behind every call. Filter any segment and start a follow-up campaign from it.

  • Real-time campaign analytics and best-time-to-call heatmap
  • Recordings, transcripts and sentiment on every call
  • CRM sync with Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho and more

Compare

Human vs AI outbound calling: which calls should each make?

AI outbound calling doesn't replace your reps. It takes the calls that are repetitive or time-sensitive, so reps spend their hours on the ones that need judgment.

A day of AI outbound

What does speed to lead look like with an AI agent?

A home-improvement company running paid ads. Names are illustrative.

  1. A lead fills in a quote form

Sam asks for a roofing estimate from a Facebook ad, after the office has closed.

  2. The AI agent calls back

Inside the calling window, from a local number, the AI asks about roof age, damage and timeline, and answers questions from the AI agent knowledge base.

  3. Inspection booked

Sam picks Thursday 10 AM. The agent books it with AI appointment booking and sends a confirmation text.

  4. Alex reviews overnight calls

The sales lead skims the AI summaries from overnight leads and power-dials the three who asked for a person.

  5. The estimator arrives prepared

The call recording and summary are on the job in the CRM, so nobody asks Sam the same questions twice.

Reviewed by the TalkerIQ product team · Updated

What types of outbound campaigns can AI agents run?

TalkerIQ AI agents run appointment booking, lead qualification, customer surveys, follow-up calls, reminder calls and cold outreach. Each campaign can be customised to your goals, script and brand voice.

How many leads can the AI call at once?

TalkerIQ can handle thousands of simultaneous calls. Calls are placed within the calling windows you set for each time zone, and queues are managed automatically.

Can the AI hand a call to a person?

Yes. When a lead is qualified or asks for a person, the AI agent can warm-transfer the call to a rep or team with a summary of the conversation, or book a meeting on a rep's calendar.

How do you handle calling regulations?

TalkerIQ includes Do-Not-Call list management, time-zone calling windows and automatic opt-out handling across calls and texts. AI and pre-recorded voice calls are covered by the TCPA in the US and usually require prior express consent; you remain responsible for consent and the rules that apply to your calls.

Can I customise the AI's voice and script?

Yes. You can choose the voice, write the conversation goals and talking points, connect a knowledge base for questions, and create different personas for different campaign types.

How long does it take to launch a campaign?

Most campaigns can be set up and launched in under 15 minutes: upload the list, map fields, choose the agent and calling windows, and launch.

Is AI cold calling legal?

AI cold calling is legal in some situations but tightly regulated. In the US, the FCC treats AI-generated voices as "artificial" under the TCPA, so calls to consumers generally need prior express consent, and prior express written consent for telemarketing. State laws and other countries add their own rules. TalkerIQ enforces calling windows, DNC lists and opt-outs, but you are responsible for consent; get legal advice for your campaigns.

Will people know they are talking to an AI?

TalkerIQ recommends that AI agents say they are an AI assistant at the start of the call, and some laws require it. Being upfront also tends to make the conversation smoother, because callers know they can ask for a person at any time and be warm-transferred.
